Madras Cafe is truly an outstanding movie. It depicts Sri Lankan Civil War and the assassination of former Prime Minister of India, Rajiv Gandhi. John Abraham plays the lead role and has done an excellent job as an Indian Army officer who is sent to Sri Lanka to covertly handle operations to disrupt the LTF. This movie shows the suffering that people went through during this time and how humanity had lost its meaning. 

As a dedicated Army Officer, John as Major Vikram Singh portrays his love for his country by literally going through hell. While trying to uncover the truth behind the civil war, he stumbles upon the conspiracy to assassinate the former prime minister. All the bloodshed and misery that people go through during war signifies to the world the importance of peace. It also shows that people with power and money can do anything or get things done.
This movie is a must watch just so that people all around the world can see what war does to mankind. 


A brilliant movie which shows how Indian politics transitioned!

Work Ethics - Not so much!

I went to Bangalore for my December vacation from Chicago. A lot has changed in the city that I had grown up. Old beautiful houses of Bangalore were being broken down and replaced with beehive apartments. Increased population has resulted in more pollution and the ever frustrating traffic seemed to have gotten worse. On either sides of the wide roads, where trees once stood to provide shade, now had cars packed in a line. In spite of all the impending issues, Bangalore still is my favorite city as it’s my hometown. I ensured that I had CTR Benne Masala Dosa and Loki’s Sai Ram Chats every time I visited home. Couple of weeks of vacations flew by as I spent quality time with family and friends. I arrived at Bangalore  airport  to depart to Chicago.
